Philadelphia, PA- Five Philadelphia University student-athletes have been honored for their outstanding performances in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) over the past week.
Men's tennis freshman standout #1 singles player Adrian Torroella-Cruz (Gainesville, FL/ Gainesville) was named both ‘Player and Rookie of the Week', after going 5-1 on the week.
Women's lacrosse sophomore midfielder Michelle O'Hanlon (Springfield, PA/ Springfield) earned ‘Player of the Week' accolades after scoring a team-high 16 goals and one assist in a 3-1 week for the Lady Rams. Freshman attack Taylor Peltzer (Holland, PA/ Archbishop Wood) added 12 points en route to her first ‘Rookie of the Week' award.
Baseball juniors Tyler Mentzer (Gettysburg, PA/ Delone Catholic) and Brian Rousseau (Wantagh, NY/ Wantagh) both earned CACC ‘Honorable Mention' weekly awards after solid outings for the Rams.
