This Week in Ram Athletics: Dec. 12-Dec. 18

Men’s Basketball

This Week: The Rams (4-4, 2-0 CACC) head to University City to take on USciences in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game Saturday, Dec. 17 at 3 p.m.

Last Week: The Rams lost to American International College, 67-61, in the 2011 Basketball Hall of Fame Holiday Showcase on Friday. Temi Adebayo had 17 points in the loss. Philadelphia bounced back one day later to defeat Nyack, 88-68, in a CACC match-up. Jim Connolly went for a season-high 21 poins.

Need to Know: The Rams are a perfect 4-0 at the Gallagher Center and 0-4 on the road this season.

Women’s Basketball

This Week: Philadelphia (7-2, 3-0 CACC) is off until Saturday, Dec. 17 when the team heads to CACC foe USciences for 1 p.m. tip.

Last Week: The Lady Rams picked up a pair of home CACC victories over Georgian Court, 71-53, on Tuesday and defeated Nyack, 81-49, on Saturday. Against the Lions, guard Stephanie Agger had 16 points and a season-high five steals. Center Christine Wooding scored a career-high 25 points in the win over Nyack.

Need to Know: The Lady Rams tied the CACC record for most free throw attempts in a game with 55 (36 made) against Nyack. Philadelphia initially set the record with 55 attempts (43 made) against Dominican (N.Y.) on Feb. 14, 2009.
