Softball to host Military and Muscular Dystrophy Game
PHILADELPHIA - On Saturday, April 22nd , the softball team will be hosting Military and Muscular Dystrophy game during their double header against conference opponent Georgian Court University. The team will wear camo uniforms to show their support and a color guard will be present during the National Anthem.
There will be food and refreshments sold and half of all proceeds will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the other half to the Combat Wounded Warriors Coalition.
The Combat Wounded Coalition's mission is to optimize the potential of combat-wounded warriors by mitigating the effects of trauma, expanding personal capabilities, and inspiring our heroes to find individual, unique purpose to create the life they want. Mission objectives are achieved through programs and opportunities that improve confidence, provide networking and direction, and offer balance and tranquility.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association is an organization made to fight Muscular dystrophy, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, and other life threatening diseases by funding research and providing services across America.
