Olympic Update: Donohue to Compete in 1500m Semifinals

Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia University assistant cross country coach Erin Donohue will be competing in the Beijing Olympics Track and Field 1500m semifinal event on Thursday, August 21^st at 7:00 AM EST. The top 12 runners from the semifinals will move on to 1500m final on Saturday, August 23^rd at 7:50 AM EST. Donohue, a Haddonfield, NJ native- punched her ticket to Beijing at the Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon where she finished second overall (4:08.20) in early July. The University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill product currently runs professionally for Nike and finished 11^th in the 1500m (4:16.41) at the International Association of Athletic Federations (IAAF) World Championships in Osaka, Japan in 2007.
