Head Coach Mark Heineman

One of the top players in the history of the Philadelphia
University program, Mark Heineman
enters his fourth season as head coach of the baseball program
after serving as an assistant coach for two seasons. In his third
year as the Rams' mentor, the team made enormous strides posting a
22-22 overall record and a 19-8 conference record making the Rams
regular season conference champions. The team finished the
2008 campaign ranked 7th in the Northeast region
according to the NCAA. Heineman was selected the CACC coach

As a player at Abington High School, Heineman was an All-League

Heineman matriculated to then-Philadelphia Textile, where he helped
lead the Rams to their only College World Series appearance in
1990. During his collegiate playing career, he received Regional
All-America honors as an infielder, as well as earning team Co-MVP
honors as a senior. In addition, he was a member of the team that

the school, Heineman helped the team compile 102 victories.
"My main objective as a coach is to attract and develop the finest
ball players and teams possible within a well-rounded, quality
college environment," said Heineman. "I believe that
Philadelphia University is an excellent institution that makes it
easy to help us meet this objective."
Heineman served as the first assistant under Larry Conti
at La Salle University from 1999 to 2001, helping the
Explorers to an appearance in the Atlantic 10 Conference

University. He resides in Lansdale and also works part-time
in Career Services at Ursinus College.
