Rams Tally First CACC Win 65-54 Over Felician
The Philadelphia University Rams (4-1, 1-0 CACC) opened up their CACC schedule with a 65-54 win at Felician College (1-4, 0-2 CACC) on Saturday afternoon. The Rams were led by junior forward Malcolm Ingram (Philadelphia, PA/ Solebury Prep) who had a game-high 20 points and eight rebounds.

Rams Hold Off St. Thomas in 52-47 Road Win
The Philadelphia University men’s basketball team (3-1) used a second-half take-over to seize a 52-47 victory against the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans (2-4) on Monday night. The Rams controlled the tempo in the second stanza with help from junior Russell Frederick (Baltimore, MD/ Calvert Hall)who exploded for 19 points.

Men's Basketball Edged 65-60 at West Chester
Philadelphia University men’s basketball (2-1) fell 65-60 to West Chester University (3-1) on the road on Saturday afternoon. Junior guard/forward Marcus Lemon (Alexandria, VA/ T.C. Williams) led the Rams with 19 points, while junior forward Malcolm Ingram (Philadelphia, PA/ Solebury Prep) had 17 points and nine boards.

Team Effort Gives PhilaU 78-58 Win over District of Columbia
The Philadelphia University men’s basketball team (2-0) ran away with a 78-58 home-opening victory vs. the University of the District of Columbia (1-2) on Wednesday night. PhilaU junior forward Malcolm Ingram had a team-high 17 points and eight rebounds. Head coach Herb Magee was honored for his recent induction into the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame in a pre-game presentation.

#18 Rams Defeat Saint Rose 69-64 in NCAA Tournament Re-Match
The #18 nationally-ranked Philadelphia University men’s basketball team (1-0) began the 2008-09 season just the way head coach Herb Magee was hoping- with a win. The Rams defeated Saint Rose College (0-1) in a game that was a rematch of PhilaU’s season-ending NCAA Tournament loss to SRC in quadruple-overtime last year.

Rams Receive Votes in NABC Preseason Poll
The Philadelphia University men’s basketball team has received votes in the 2008-09 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Coaches’ Poll. The Rams were the only Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) team to receive votes in the national poll.

PhilaU Men’s Basketball Selected as CACC Preseason Favorite
The Philadelphia University men’s basketball team has been chosen to take the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) South Division title in 2008-09, as voted on in the CACC Preseason Coaches’ Poll, released today. The Rams received 70 first-place votes- the most of any team in either division.

The Philadelphia University men’s basketball team has been ranked 25th in the nation in the 2008 Division II Bulletin Preseason Top 25, announced today. Junior forward Malcolm Ingram has also been recognized as a member of Street & Smith’s All-America Second Team.
