PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia University freshman forward Josh Bradanese (Billerica, Mass./Billerica Memorial) was named as a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men's basketball co-rookie of the week Monday.
Bradanese—who shared this week's award with Caldwell's Eric Johnson-Alford—averaged 19.5 points on 57.1 percent shooting, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 blocked shots in a pair of road victories against the CACC.
In Philadelphia's 84-63 victory at Georgian Court on Feb. 16, Bradanese recorded a career-high 24 points on 9-of-17 shooting, two rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and one steal. He followed up that performance with 15 points, nine rebounds, one assist, and one block to help the Rams knock off Holy Family 80-67 on Feb. 18.
This season, Bradanese has appeared in 23 contests and contributed 5.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per contest. Since joining the starting lineup five games ago, Bradanese has racked up 15.0 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.
Philadelphia (19-8, 15-3 CACC) will host Wilmington (Del.) University for the CACC southern division title in the regular-season finale on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 8 p.m.
