Men's Soccer Ties 1-1 in OT Battle Against Wheeling Jesuit

Wheeling, WV- The Philadelphia University men's soccer team (1-1-1) tied Wheeling Jesuit University 1-1 in an overtime match on Saturday afternoon. Junior forward Svetozar Gladic (Novi Sad, Serbia/Sacred Heart) continued to provide the offense for the Rams, scoring their only goal at the 16 minute mark in the second half.

Wheeling Jesuit scored first, 25 minutes into the first half to take the early 1-0 lead off an own goal from Phila U. The Rams came back with Gladic's score in the second period, assisted by senior midfielder Rocco Avallone (Champaign, IL/ Centennial).

The Rams will host West Chester University on Wednesday, September 10^th at 4:30 p.m. in their home-opener.
