Men's soccer falls to Georgian Court 1-0 in CACC Championship Quarterfinal Tuesday

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The Philadelphia University men's soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss to Georgian Court University in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship Quarterfinal Tuesday afternoon.

Georgian Court's Michael Clarke scored the match's lone goal at the 62nd minute mark to give the Lions a 1-0 lead over the Rams. Philadelphia only had three shots on goal compared to Georgian Court's 15.

Philadelphia was handed three yellow cards and 18 fouls over the course of the match.

Eric Gutierrez (Croydon, Pa./Harry S. Truman) recorded eight saves for the Rams, while Georgian Court's Sebastian Mikuska stopped two shots.

Philadelphia concludes their season with an overall record of 6-10-2, 5-6-1 CACC.
