Rose Tabbed as CACC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year

Philadelphia University men’s soccer player Seiji Rose has named the 2016 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Year in voting done by the league’s 13 coaches.  Rose also earned first team all-CACC honors.  The 2016 All-CACC team was released by the conference office on Monday.

Rose (Toulouse, France/ Lycee Climatique et Sportif Pierre de Coubertin), a first time All-CACC honoree and a senior midfielder, leads the team in both goals (5) and points (12).  His five goals tie him for 11th place amongst all CACC players.  He scored the game-winning goal in a 3-1 Rams win over Bloomfield on Oct. 22 and assisted on both goals in Philadelphia’s 2-1 win over Chestnut Hill on Oct. 25, helping the Rams clinch a playoff berth.  He has played and started in 15 of the Rams 17 games this season.
