Rose of Men’s Soccer Named CACC Defensive Player of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior Seiji Rose of the Jefferson men's soccer team was named the CACC Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday morning. The news was announced by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference office.

This comes as the first weekly award for Rose on the 2017 campaign.

The 2016 CACC Defensive Player of the Year scored the first goal of his senior season in the men's 4-0 victory at Caldwell this past Friday.

The goal was the third of the afternoon for Jefferson, coming in the 84th minute as Rose put a free kick past the Caldwell keeper from 20 yards out.

The men's soccer team plays this afternoon, Tuesday, Sept. 19 against Georgian Court at Ravenhill Field with a start time of 2:30 p.m.
