Men’s Soccer Wins Sixth-Straight, Downs Felician With 2-0 Road Victory

LYNDHURST, N.J. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) men's soccer team won its sixth-straight match of the 2017 season on Saturday evening at Felician in a 2-0 shutout.

It comes as the second-straight shutout for the Rams and senior keeper Ben Sauer and fourth of the six-match winning streak. During that time, Jefferson has outscored opponents 15-4.

It is the longest winning streak for the program since the 2014 season when the Rams had streaks of six and eight in the 16-win season; the last time the squad advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

The Rams scored two first-half goals on the road on Saturday night. Sophomore Myles-Jordan Senior-Campbell put Jefferson on the board first in the 29th minute when senior Seiji Rose found him off a corner for the one-touch goal.

Jefferson took a 2-0 lead in the 35th minute when junior Dillon Abraham lead fellow junior Jason Rocha with a pass to the middle of the box before Rocha put it away from about five yards out.

Senior-Campbell and Rocha now sit atop the team with four goals on the campaign. Rocha leads the team with 12 points on the year while Rose's assist brings him to nine points in 2017, second on the team.

Keeper Ben Sauer notched his fourth shutout of the season and the 11th of his career in the win as he made three saves across 90 minutes.
