Rose Named CACC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for Third Time in 2017

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior Seiji Rose of the Jefferson men's soccer team was named the CACC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday morning. The news was announced by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference office.

It comes as his third time earning the weekly award in 2017.

SEIJI ROSE – CACC MEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rose tallied an assist in the men's 2-0 shutout win at Felician last Saturday. The senior now ranks second on the team in 2017 with nine points. He anchors the Rams' defensive unit which is on a six-match winning streak while maintaining a perfect 6-0 mark in conference play this season.

HONOR ROLL
Junior Jason Rocha and senior Ben Sauer were named to the CACC Men's Soccer Honor Roll on Tuesday.

Rocha scored two goals last week, one in each conference victory over Holy Family and Felician last week. He is now tied for the team lead with four goals.

Sauer notched his third and fourth shutouts of the season last week. All four shutout on the year have come in Jefferson's six-match winning streak. He also owns a 0.50 goals against average in six CACC matchups.
