INDIANAPOLIS – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) men's soccer team was ranked No. 3 in the East Region of the NCAA's Regional Rankings released this week. The news was posted to the NCAA DII Men's Soccer page here.
LIU Post occupies the No. 1 spot in the East Region followed by Southern Connecticut State, Jefferson, Merrimack, Adelphi, Bloomfield, District of Columbia and Southern New Hampshire.
Of those team, the Rams have faced LIU Post and Bloomfield this season. Jefferson fell to then-No. 8 nationally ranked LIU Post, 3-1, before defeating Bloomfield in their next contest in mid-October, 4-2.
The Rams recently closed out their 2017 conference slate on Wednesday afternoon at Wilmington University. Jefferson suffered its first CACC loss of the year in a 2-0 fashion to finish 10-1-1 across the 13-team conference. The Rams will be the No. 1 seed in the CACC Championship, hosting the to-be-determined No. 8 seed on Monday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. from Ravenhill Field.
