Rose, Neto Named to 2017 United Soccer Coaches All-East Region First, Second Teams

2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Men's All-East Region Teams

KANSAS CITY – Jefferson Men's Soccer placed two Rams on the 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Men's All-East Region Teams. Senior Seiji Rose was named to the All-East Region First Team while fellow senior Pedro Neto earned a spot on the Second Team. The news was announced on the United Soccer Coaches website.

SEIJI ROSE – UNITED SOCCER COACHES ALL-EAST REGION FIRST TEAM
Rose earned a spot on the regional first team in 2017. The senior was recently named to the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-East Region First Team earlier this month. Rose was the 2017 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Year and selected to the 2017 CACC Men's Soccer Championship All-Tournament Team. He was named the CACC Defensive Player of the Week four times in 2017. Rose ranked second on the Rams with 21 points and first with 13 assists. He also helped anchor the back line which posted nine shutouts on the season as the squad went 10-1-1 in conference play.

PEDRO NETO – UNITED SOCCER COACHES ALL-EAST REGION SECOND TEAM
Neto was selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Second Team in 2017. Recently, the senior transfer was named to the D2CCA All-East Region Second Team in mid-November. Neto joined the Rams for his senior season after three years at Saint Francis University. The senior was named the 2017 CACC Defensive Player of the Year and an All-CACC First Team selection. He ranked fourth on the team with 14 points and five of his seven goals went for game winners. Neto was twice named the CACC Player of the Week in this campaign as well.
