Seiji Rose Named D2CCA Men’s Soccer All-America Second Team Selection

PHILADELPHIA – To cap off a decorated week for Seiji Rose of the Jefferson men's soccer team, the senior captain was named to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) Men's Soccer All-America Second Team on Friday morning. The news was announced via a press release issued by the DII Conference Commissioner's Association men's soccer national media coordinator.

The standout defender has earned a plethora of postseason awards in 2017 before Friday's D2CCA announcement. On Thursday, Rose was named to the to the 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA DII All-American Third Team. On Wednesday, he grabbed 2017 United Soccer Coaches All-East Region First Team honors. Earlier this month, the Toulouse, France native was a D2CCA Men's Soccer All-East Region First Team honoree. Rose, the 2017 CACC Player of the Year and All-CACC First Team member, helped lead the Rams to the conference championship game, just falling short of an NCAA Tournament bid. He was also named to the CACC Championship All-Tournament Team for his play in the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.

Rose ranked second on the Rams with 21 points and first with 13 assists. He also helped anchor the back line which posted nine shutouts on the season as the squad went 10-1-1 in conference play.
