Men’s tennis opens fall slate with 7-2 loss at Chestnut Hill

PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia University men's tennis team started its 2016 fall schedule with a 7-2 loss to host Chestnut Hill Saturday morning.

Philadelphia (0-1) earned both of its points in singles action.

Luis Molina Megias (Gran Canaria, Spain/Atlantic School Garoe) rallied from one set down to claim the No. 1 singles match against Pierre Kohler, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4), 1-0 (10-4). In the No. 2 flight, Oskar Haedicke (Iserlohn, Germany/Gymnasium An der Stenner Iserlohn) recorded his first collegiate victory, defeating Jonathan Ducretot 6-4, 6-3.

Philadelphia's next match comes on Sunday, Oct. 9 against Roberts Wesleyan on the Abraham Salaman Tennis Courts at 10 a.m.
