PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia University men's tennis team has unveiled its schedule for the 2017 spring season Monday.
The Rams have 16 matches lined up—nine on the road and seven at home. Philadelphia will play 11 non-conference matches and the other five will be against the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. In non-conference play, Philadelphia plays four schools from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, two from the East Coast Conference, and one from the Northeast-10.
The spring season gets underway on Feb. 18 against Bloomsburg University in the Legacy Youth Tennis and Education Center. On the weekend of March 30-31, Philadelphia plays host to West Chester and Salem International. The Rams face the Golden Rams on the 30th and the Bobcats on the 31st. Philadelphia's final non-conference home match of the season is against Cabrini University on April 4.
Philadelphia first two non-conference matches away from home will come on March 10 and 11 when the Rams visit St. Thomas Aquinas and Adelphi. The Rams travel to Millersville on March 20 to play a match that was postponed by weather during the fall season. The team's final trip during the month of March is slated for March 26 at the University of District of Columbia.
April begins with a trip to Bloomsburg to compete in the two-day Bloomsburg Duals on April 1-2. Philadelphia's regular season ends with non-conference trips to Kutztown University on April 17 and Gwynedd Mercy University on April 19.
In conference play, Philadelphia hosts Caldwell University on March 25, Bloomfield College on April 8, and Chestnut Hill College on April 13. The Rams head to the University of the Sciences on April 5 and Post to close out the conference schedule on April 15.
The CACC Tournament—for the top four teams in the conference standings—will be April 22-23 at Chestnut Hill.
