NEW HAVEN, Conn. –The trio of Luis Molina Megias (Gran Canaria, Spain/Atlantic School Garoe), Oskar Haedicke (Iserlohn, Germany/Gymnasium An der Stenner Iserlohn), and Jacobo Atri (Mexico City, Mexico/Colegio Hobreo Monte Sinai, AC) represented Philadelphia University on the 2017 All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Tennis Second Team that was announced by the conference office Wednesday.
An All-CACC second team pick for the second straight season, Molina Megias racked up five singles victories in the No. 1 position the Rams' singles lineup. Two of his five singles wins came against the CACC.
Haedicke—a three-time CACC rookie of the week this year—won a team-high 13 singles this spring, three in conference play. He has an 11-2 record at No. 2 and a 2-0 mark at No. 1. Haedicke opened his career by winning his first nine singles matches.
As the Rams' No. 1 doubles team, Molina Megias and Haedicke posted a 7-5, including three CACC victories.
Atri posted seven wins while playing in three different positions in the singles lineup. He had four wins at No. 4, two more at No. 3, and one in his only match at No. 1 against Cabrini on April 4. As a doubles player, Atri had six wins—four at No. 3.
Philadelphia (9-7, 2-3 CACC) will be the No. 4 seed for the upcoming CACC Tournament and take on top seed Chestnut Hill on Saturday, April 22 at 10 a.m.
