CHESTER, Pa. – The Philadelphia University men's track team returned to Widener University on Saturday to take part in the second day of action at the Danny Curran Invitational.
The Rams entered three runners in the 1,500-meter run and were led by Sergei Cendo (Cumberland, Md./Allegany), who was competing for the first time this season. Cendo won his heat with a time of 4 minutes, 11.96 seconds and was 22th overall. Shane Fleming completed the event in 4:40.77 for 60th and Saad Traboulsi (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) posted the 63rd-place time of 4:46.55.
After competing in Friday night's 5,000-meter run, Jake Wong came back on Saturday to finish 27th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:05.41. He was joined in the race by Traboulsi who had a time of 2:18.29 to take 49th.
Eric Przyuski (Audubon, Pa./Methacton) took part in two sprinting events on Saturday, the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash. Przyuski was the 16th-place finisher in the 400 with a mark of 52.02 and then posted a heat-winning time of 23.64 in the 200 and was 33rd overall.
Dominic Rodriguez (Pennsauken, N.J./Pennsauken) was also in the 400 with Przyuski and finished 17th overall after claiming his heat with a time of 52.20.
Alec Fixl (New Tripoli, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh) recorded a time of 17.93 to come in 12th in the 110-meter high hurdles.
Philadelphia returns to action in the West Chester Invitational, hosted by West Chester University on April 8-9.
