Duka of Men’s Cross Country Gathers Second-Straight CACC Runner of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Graduate transfer Milan Duka of the Jefferson men's cross country team was named the CACC Runner of the Week on Tuesday morning. The news was announced by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference office.

This comes as the second-straight week that Duka grabbed the conference honor.

This past Saturday, Duka placed first at 8-kilometer Delaware Invitational with a time of 27:04.5, 16 seconds faster than the No. 2 finisher and good for a mile pace of 5:26.8.

It came as the second win for the graduate student after he took first place in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Championship.

Jefferson finished third in the 10-team Delaware Invitational held at White Clay Creek State Park in Newark, Del., the site of the 2017 CACC Championship in late October.

The men's cross country team continues their season on Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Osprey Open in Galloway, N.J. with a start time of 11 a.m.
