Men’s Cross Country Captures 2017 CACC Championship in Delaware; Three to All-CACC

NEWARK, Del. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) men's cross country team captured the 2017 Central Atlantic College Conference (CACC) Championship from White Clay Creek Park in Newark, Del. on Sunday morning. It came as the program's third CACC Championship and first since 2014.

After winning conference championships in 2009 and 2014, the men won its third conference title since joining the CACC. Three Rams finished in the top-15 at this year's championship to earn All-CACC recognition.

Junior Sergei Cendo was the first from Jefferson to cross the finish for second-place overall with a time of 26:53.7 (5:25 pace).

Graduate transfer Milan Duka finished fourth overall with a time of 27:31.2 (5:32 pace).

Junior Ethan Fadale rounded out the top-15 finishers, coming in 15th overall, with a time of 27:58.7 (5:38 pace).

Freshman Ben Nardi came in 25th overall and fourth on the Rams, crossing the finish with a time of 28:34.0 (5:45 pace).

Junior Valmar Wilson took 29th overall with a time of 28:45.7 (5:47 pace) on Sunday.

Senior Jake Wong came in 32nd place of the 91-competitor field at 29:01.4 (5:50 pace).

Sophomore Greg Dawson rounded out the Rams seven competitors with a time of 30:22.4 (6:07 pace) for 56th overall.
