PHILADELPHIA – In the spring of 2016, women's golf became the 17th intercollegiate sport to be sponsored by to the Rams, making it the 10th women's program to be offered by Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University).
After a year of preparation by the Rams Athletic Department including the addition of Dave Nevatt as head coach and the integration of Philadelphia University and Thomas Jefferson University, the women begin their first season as the Jefferson Rams in the fall of 2017 as the program recently announced its upcoming schedule.
The women will compete as an independent member at NCAA Division II level.
The first match for the women will take place against Alvernia on Friday, Sept. 8 at 1:15 p.m. from the ACE Club in Lafayette Hill, Pa., home of the Rams.
On Saturday, Sept. 23, the Rams go up against Arcadia and Franklin & Marshall with a tee time set for 1:15 p.m. from the ACE Club.
On Tuesday, Oct. 10, the Rams play in the Alvernia University Invitational at LedgeRock Golf Club in Mohnton, Pa. with action set for noon.
The women compete at home against Delaware Valley on Friday, Oct. 13 at 1:15 p.m. before the East Stroudsburg Invitational at Glen Brook Golf Club on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 12:30 p.m.
The Rams close out the fall at the Arcadia University Invitational from Cedarbrook County Club on Monday, Oct. 30 in Blue Bell, Pa.
The 2018 spring schedule will be announced at a later date.
