Women’s Golf Inaugural Season Begins on Friday

PHILADELPHIA – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) women's golf team will pilot their inaugural season this Friday, Sept. 8 in Lafayette, Pa. against Alvernia at the ACE Club, the match will begin at 1:15 p.m.

FRESH ON THE GREEN
In the spring of 2016, women's golf became the 17th intercollegiate sport to represent the Rams. With this addition, Jefferson University now offers 10 women's varsity sports.  The women will compete as an independent member at the NCAA Division II level. Dave Nevatt will be the head coach of the team.

LOOKING AT ALVERNIA
Head coach of the Crusaders, Tom O'Connell, returns for his sixth year. The Crusaders eagerly welcomed three incoming freshmen to their 2017-18 roster.

NEXT UP
Following Friday's season opener, the Jefferson women's golf team will host Arcadia/Franklin & Marshall at the ACE Club Saturday, Sept. 23 at 1:15 p.m.
