Senior Shannon Shippey Garners ECC All-Conference Accolades


Senior attacker Shannon Shippey was named East Coast Conference (ECC) second-team All-Conference in voting done by he league's head coaches.  Shippey was the lone Lady Ram selected to the All-Conference squad.

A native of Freeport, N.Y., Shippey led the Lady Rams in scoring this season, compiling 39 goals and 26 assists for 65 points in 17 games.  Her 26 assists is the third-best single-season total in school history and her 65 points is the seventh-best single-season total.  With her stellar senior campaign, she finished her career with 41 career assists to rank sixth all-time while her 143 career points rank tenth all-time in school history.

The Lady Rams finished the year with a 12-5 overall record, winners of five of their final seven games and eight of their last eight under first-year Head Coach Jenn Devinney.

"I am very excited for Shannon," said Devinney of the all-conference recognition.  "She had an outstanding season and solidified herself as one of the top offensive players in the history of the program.  As a graduating senior, we will miss Shannon's talent and productivity tremendously."
