NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Philadelphia University senior midfielder Liz Mower (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area) picked up her first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's lacrosse player of the week award of the 2016 season from the conference office on Monday.

Mower tied her season high of seven points with four goals—two free-position goals—and three assists in a 13-11 home victory over Queens (N.Y.) on March 22 to open the week. She came back four days later to rack up four goals—two free position—two assists, and a season-high two draw controls in a 12-11 loss at St. Thomas Aquinas.

Through six matches, Mower is leading the Rams with 15 points, seven assists, and 22 points. She is sitting third in the CACC in goals, points, and shots (31), and fourth in assists. Mower—the team's leading point-scorer in each of the last three matches—has scored a conference-best nine free-position goals.

Philadelphia heads to Kutztown for a non-conference clash on Tuesday, March 29 at 4 p.m.
