Women’s rowing reaches club eight final to highlight day two at Knecht Cup

WEST WINDSOR TWP., N.J. – The Philadelphia University women's rowing team raced in a pair of finals to cap its second day of action at the Knecht Cup Sunday.

In the Women's Club Eight DI/II race, the Rams earned in a spot in the final as they took second in heat two with a time of 7 minutes, 12.83 seconds. It was the third best time during the heat stage.

Philadelphia came back in the final and posted the fourth-place time of 7:50.20. First place went to Barry with a 6:53.80.

Yesterday, Philadelphia qualified for today's Second Varsity Four petite final. The Rams –who were the only non-Division I boat in the petite final—finished in sixth with a time of 8:19.81.

Philadelphia returns to the water for the Kerr Cup on Saturday, April 16 on the Schuylkill River.
