PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia University women's rowing team took part in the Kerr Cup Saturday on the Schuylkill River.
The Varsity Eight boat carried the day for Philadelphia, advancing to the petite final on its event.
The team started the day with a fourth-place finish in heat three with a 2-kilometer time of 6 minutes, 54.41 seconds—the third-best time of the boats going to the petite final. In the petite final, Philadelphia came in fourth with a time of 7:02.79, .41 seconds behind Washington College for third.
In the Varsity Four event, Philadelphia finished third in heat three, completing the course in 7:53.60.
Philadelphia returns to the water for the Kelly Cup on Saturday, April 23.
