Women’s Soccer Shutout in 4-0 Loss to Adelphi

Philadelphia, PA-  The Philadelphia University women's soccer team (0-3) registered just four shots on goal as they fell to Adelphi University 4-0. Senior goalkeeper Sara Hall (Newark, DE/Charter School of Wilmington) had 18 saves for the Lady Rams.

Adelphi scored two goals in the first half at 5:46 and a penalty kick (12:42) and added two more in the second at 49:42 and 50:26.

Senior midfielder Stephanie Filmyer (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) had two shots on goal and CACC Honorable Mention sophomore Natalie Vespe (Atco, NJ/St. Joseph) and senior defender Kristin Franks (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) both had one shot on net.

The Lady Rams will next host C.W. Post College Sunday, September 7th at 1 p.m. at Ravenhill Field.
