NEW HAVEN, Conn. Four members of the Philadelphia University women's soccer team, Amy Heller (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy); Taylor Mysza (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East); Katie Neveil (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop wood); and Megan Sullivan (West Deptford, N.J/West Deptford) have earned All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) team recognition. The team is voted on by the league’s 13 coaches and was released by the conference office on Monday.
All four players are second team selections and first time All-CACC honorees.
Sullivan ranks eighth in the CACC in game-winning goals (2) and is tied for the team lead in goals (5) and points (10). She netted the game winning goals against Felician on Sept. 24 and Dominican on Oct. 10, both 3-0 wins for the Rams.
Mysza is third on the team with nine points and three goals. She had a two-goal performance including the winner in a 5-0 triumph over Bloomfield on Oct. 22, finishing the game with five points. Mysza also had a three-point performance with a goal and an assist against Felician on Sept. 24.
Heller and Neveil are anchors on a Rams defense that is second in the league in goals against average (0.92). Neveil has played and started in 15 of the Rams 17 contests this season while Heller is the only Rams player to have started all 17 matches this season.
Philadelphia (9-7-1) will host Wilmington University for the opening round of the CACC Tournament on Monday, Oct. 31 at 2 p.m.
