Women's tennis defeated by Holy Family

ELKINS PARK, Pa. -- The Philadelphia University women's tennis team opened the spring with an 8-1 loss to Holy Family Friday afternoon at the Fossler Cheltenham Tennis Center.

Jala Hamada (Giza, Egypt) picked up her team-leading 10th win of the season as she outlasted the Tigers' Emerald Adams 7-5, 7-6 (10-3) in the No. 2 singles match.

Philadelphia (8-5) returns to action with a home showdown with Millersville on Sunday, April 3 at noon.
