Women’s tennis defeated by Post, 8-1

MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Philadelphia University was defeated by Post University, 8-1, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match Sunday afternoon at the Edgewood Bath & Tennis Center.

Philadelphia's lone victory came at No. 2 singles, where Usha Baublitz (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) earned her second win of the season as she rallied from one set down to knock off Madison Young, 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-7).

The Rams are now 3-5 overall and 1-3 in conference play, while the Eagles improve to 6-2 overall and 4-0 against the conference.

Philadelphia returns home to host Cabrini in a non-conference match on Friday, Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. on the Abraham Salaman Tennis Courts.
