Women’s Tennis Clinches CACC Championship Berth with 6-3 Win Over Chestnut Hill

PHILADELPHIA – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) women's tennis team (9-4, 4-3 CACC) won its fifth-straight match on Wednesday afternoon in a conference matchup over Chestnut Hill (1-6, 1-5 CACC) by a final of 6-3 from the Legacy Tennis Center.

The victory clinched a top-six finish for the Rams in conference play, guaranteeing them a spot in the first round of the CACC Championship next week.

Sophomore Lauren Candia and freshman Millie Coombes each picked up their team-leading 10th singles win of the season on the afternoon. Both are now 5-1 in CACC singles play.

Candia and fellow sophomore Marta Yevstakhevych are now 11-1 as doubles partners and 5-1 in CACC matches.
