EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Courtney Wensel (Bechtelsville, Pa./Berks Catholic) and Corinne Justus (Allentown, Pa./Emmaus) combined for 27 of the Philadelphia University women's volleyball team's 41 kills in the Rams' 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-20) victory over East Stroudsburg Wednesday night in Koehler Fieldhouse.

Amber Johnson (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) had a solid outing with six kills, a .455 attack percentage, and two block assists. Alexandra Harrington (St. Leonard, Md./Huntingtown) dished out 37 assists.
The Rams made quick work of the opening set as they sprinted out to a 9-3 lead. After the Warriors (10-13) closed within 15-11, Justus recorded three kills during a 10-4 run that gave the Rams the set. Philadelphia had five service aces in the set, two each from Mariah Cadzow (Mountville, Pa./Hempfield) and Alexis Leddy (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic).
Cadzow, Wensel, and Justus all contributed two kills to a 14-3 surge that started the second set. East Stroudsburg recorded five errors to help Philadelphia get out to the 11-point lead. With the lead down to six, a pair of Johnson kills book-ended a run of six straight Philadelphia points that widen the gap to a set-high 12 (21-9). The Rams had a match-best .312 attack percentage in the second set.
In the final set, Philadelphia used a 13-5 run to erase a four-point deficit and lay claim to a 21-17 lead. Wensel led the surge with four kills. A Wensel kill later in the set would extend the margin to five (22-17).
Desiree Claxton led East Stroudsburg with 11 kills, while Tina Predojevic recorded a match-high 15 digs.
Philadelphia closes out its string of three straight road matches on Saturday, Oct. 22 at Concordia (N.Y.) at 6 p.m.
