LAKEWOOD, N.J. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) volleyball team (7-5, 2-0 CACC) defeated the Georgian Court Lions (0-11, 0-2 CACC) on Tuesday evening in New Jersey in four sets, 25-11, 18-25, 25-17, 25-15.
Senior Corinne Justus owned a hitting percentage of .706 in the victory behind 13 kills on 17 total attacks with just one error. The Allentown, Pennsylvania native is now hitting .386 on the season and .588 through two conference matchups.
Junior Courtney Wensel notched her seventh double-double of the season as she recorded match-highs with both 16 kills and 15 digs.
Sophomore Mariah Cadzow, freshman Caitlin Crespo and freshman Abigail Kress also reached double figures; Cadzow with 10 kills, Crespo with 13 digs and Kress with 11 kills. Kress also hit .550 on the night.
Jefferson hit .478, .429 and .523 as a team in the three sets they won while hitting .200 in the second set, which they dropped.
The Rams now host Goldey-Beacom on Friday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. from the Gallagher Center.
