WATERBURY, Conn. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) volleyball team (15-6, 10-1 CACC) outlasted Post (11-10, 9-2 CACC) in a five-set conference victory in Connecticut on Saturday afternoon, 20-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-17, 15-11.
It came as the first five-set CACC match for the Rams in 2017 and just the second throughout all 21 matches on the season.
Senior Corinne Justus hit a match-high .545 on the day with 13 kills and just one error across 22 total attacks. The senior also had eight blocks on the day between one solo and seven assists.
Junior Courtney Wensel notched a team-best 16 kills and match-high 17 digs in the victory for her 11th double-double on the campaign.
Jefferson Volleyball returns to action at Goldey-Beacom for a divisional conference matchup on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.
