Wensel Named CACC Volleyball Player of the Week on Tuesday

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Junior Courtney Wensel of the Jefferson volleyball team was named the CACC Player of the Week while freshman Logan Dontell earned CACC Honor Roll status on Tuesday morning. The news was announced by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference office.

It marks the sixth conference honor for Wensel and her third time as the CACC Player of the Week. Dontell was recognized for the first time.

COURTNEY WENSEL – CACC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Across two matches last week, Wensel his .329 with 29 kills and 27 digs to led Jefferson in both categories. The junior hit .457 in a conference win over Goldey-Beacom with 17 kills before notching her 13th double-double of the season behind a match-high 12 kills and 15 digs against Nyack for the team's sixth-straight victory on Saturday.

HONOR ROLL
Dontell led Jefferson with a .469 hitting percentage across a 2-0 conference week. She hit .583 with seven kills in a conference win over Goldey-Beacom before recording 10 kills with a .400 hitting percentage against Nyack on Saturday. The freshman also had six block assists between the two matches.
