INDIANAPOLIS – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) volleyball team was ranked No. 10 in the East Region of the NCAA Regional Rankings released this week. The news was posted to the NCAA DII Volleyball page here.
LIU Post occupies the No. 1 spot in the East Region followed by New Haven (2), Molloy (3), NYIT (4), American International (5), St. Anselm (6), Bentley (7), Southern Connecticut State (8), Le Moyne (9) and Jefferson (10).
Of those teams, Jefferson met LIU Post, NYIT, American International and Le Moyne on the season.
Jefferson faced No. 1 LIU Post back on September 2 in the Long Island Invitational. The Rams began their season against NYIT and Le Moyne at the York Tech Tip-Off. The Rams also met American International at the Wildcat Invitational in Wilmington, Del.
Jefferson is currently 20-6 on the season including 15-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. On a nine-match winning streak, the Rams sit atop of the CACC South Division and have three conference matches remaining in the regular season.
The Rams visit Holy Family for a CACC matchup on Thursday, Nov. 2 before hosting Georgian Court in conference play on Saturday, Nov. 4. After a nonconference match against Lincoln (Pa.) on Senior Day for the Rams at home, the squad visits Bloomfield to close out the regular-season conference slate on Wednesday, Nov. 8.
