Buckridge of Women’s Cross Country Earns Second-Straight CACC Rookie of the Week Honor

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Freshman Jasmine Buckridge of the Jefferson women's cross country team was named the CACC Rookie of the Week on Monday afternoon. The news was accounted by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference office.

It comes as the second-straight week that Buckridge received the honor after winning the award last Tuesday, Sept. 5.

The Hamilton, Ontario native was the third-best finisher for the Rams behind senior Sarah Nellis at this weekend's Philadelphia Metropolitan Championship at the Belmont Plateau. The freshman crossed the finish line with a time of 21:08.2 for a 5:40.1 mile pace in the 5k event. She finished seventh place individually as the women won the Philadelphia Metropolitan Championship for the 10th-straight year.
