POMONA, N.J. – The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) women's cross country team finished third at the Stockton-hosted Osprey Open on Saturday afternoon in New Jersey. The six-kilometer event featured 14 teams and 152-competitors.
Freshman Jasmine Buckridge turned in her second-straight top finish for the Rams, coming across the line with a final time of 25:05.0, good for a pace of 6:43.6 and an 11th overall placing.
Senior Sarah Nellis finished 16th overall and second for Jefferson. Nellis owned a pace of 6:46.6 and a total time of 25:16.1.
Sophomore Meghan Horan finished with a time of 25:27.2 for a pace of 6:49.6 at the Open, good for third on the squad and 21st overall.
Freshman Kali Safer and sophomore Nicole Stough finished 28th and 29th in the event to round out the top-five finishers for the Rams. Shafer and Stough nearly finished with identical times at 25:52.0 and 25:52.1, respectively.
